April 15, 2023 – Carterville Trail and Auburn Trail

It is light enough at 6:30 that we can hit the trails! And it feels like summer! With this week’s route, consider adding trip into the daffodil meadow between Thornell and Park Rd on the east side of Irondequoit Creek before returning to the parking lot. The way the daffodils have bloomed at my house, I bet the meadow will be near peak!

Pick up the Cartersville trail on the right, between Marsh Road and the Marathon gas station, Stay on the trail until you are almost across from Knickerbocker. Cross over 96 and get on the Auburn Trail from the parking area.  Cross over Mill Rd, and then cross over Thornell to stay on the Auburn Trail – this will bring you to a driveway that leads to East St. Cross over East St and stay on the Auburn Trail, picking up the trail behind the power substation. Cross over Railroad Mills to stay on Auburn Trail
