March 31, 2018 – Knickerbocker Hill and Thornell

Start time – 6:30 am

All routes : Turn left out of the parking lot. Turn right on Park Rd, then right on East followed by a left Thornell. Turn right on Mill Rd. If the Auburn Trail looks runnable – bear left onto the Auburn Trail and follow that over to Knickerbocker. Otherwise, from Mill Rd, turn left onto East, then left onto 96 and left onto Knickerbocker.

For 10 miles – at the end of Knickerbocker, turn left onto Pittsford Mendon Rd. Then turn left onto Thornell, then right on 96 and back to the parking lot.

For 11.4 miles – at the end of Knickerbocker, turn right onto Pittsford Mendon Rd. Then turn left on Mendon Center Rd. At Calkins, turn left to continue on Mendon Center Rd. Turn left on Barker, turn right on West Bloomfield, then left on Thornell. Turn right on 96 and return to the parking lot. (Returning thru Powder Mills Park makes the distance 12)

For 13.6 miles – at the end of Knickerbocker, turn right on Pittsford Mendon Rd. Then go straight in the 4 way intersection onto Stone. Take Stone over to Clover. Turn left on Clover, then turn left on Calkins. Turn right on Mendon Center Rd. Turn left on Barker, turn right on West Bloomfield, then left on Thornell. Turn right on 96 and return to the parking lot.

For 9.4 miles – turn RIGHT (not left) on Willowbrook, then right on Rowley. Turn right on 96, then left on Benson. Turn right on Fishers Rd, then left on 96 and return to the parking lot.

Turn left out of the parking lot, then left on Garnsey and another left on Sully’s Trail. Turn right on Kreag. Cross over Rt. 31, then turn right on Ayrault. Turn right on Hogan, then left on 31. Turn right on Thayer. At the intersection with Bluhm, turn right to continue on Thayer. Turn right on Steele. Cross over Turk and continue on Beauclaire. Turn right on Neuchatel, then right on Vineyard. Turn left on Garnsey, then right on 96 and back to the parking lot. Distance is 11.1 miles.

For 8 miles – on Ayrault- turn right on Turk Hill, then right on Garnsey. A right on 96 brings you back to the parking lot.

Starting from the Parking lot at the end of Culver Rd.  Turn left out of the parking lot and turn left on the Sea Breeze Expressway. At Titus get on the right side of the Express way and take the sidewalk onto Kane. Turn left onto East Ridge Rd, and then take a right on Bay Shore Blvd.  Next take a right on Bay View Rd and head up the hill.   At the top of the hill turn left to stay on Bay View Rd, then turn left on Glen Haven Rd.  You will make a left to continue on Bay Front S.  Turn right to go up a steep hill – Orchard Park Blvd.  This will bring you to Empire.  Turn left on Empire – go down the hill and up the other side.  Turn left onto Bay Rd.  Follow Bay Rd until you cross over Rt. 104 and then take the first left – Volk Rd.  (This will get you away from the fast moving traffic on Bay Rd.)  Turn right on Dewitt.  At the tee-intersection turn right (Backus Rd) and that will bring you back to Bay Rd.  Turn left on Bay Rd.  Take a left at the tee with Lake Rd.  You have about a mile to go at this point.  Run across the bridge and back to your car.  The distance is 14.2 miles.

Turn left out of the parking lot. Turn right on Fishers Rd., then turn right on Railroad Mills. Go straight to continue on Probst. Turn left on Mile Square, then turn right on Smith. Cross over Mendon Rd, then cross over W. Bloomfield. Continue on Smith, then turn right on Mendon Center Rd. Turn right on Canfield, then left on W. Bloomfield followed by a right to continue on Canfield. Turn left on Mendon Rd, then right on Van Voorhis. Turn left on East, then right on Thornell. A right on 96 brings you back to the parking lot. Distance is 13.9 miles.
