What better way to start the new year than with a hilly route!

Turn left out of the parking lot, then turn left onto Garnsey. Right on Turk, then left on Steele. Turn right at the top of Steele and head down Baker. Turn right on Valentown, then at High St, turn left (yes – turn left). Turn right on Willowbrook, right on Rowley, then right on 96 followed by a left on Benson. Turn right on Fishers, then left on 96 and back to the parking lot. Distance is 12.2 miles.

Turn right out of the Park and Ride and run thru the basin, turn left on Thornell.

From this point on – take every left hand turn whenever there is an option to turn left.

When you reach a dead end, turn around and continue with taking only left hand turns.

When you meet someone faster than you coming back from a dead end, you can turn with them.

Eventually you will find yourself back at the Park and Ride. Here you can take a right to get back into the parking lot.

We will take a few minutes at the beginning to take a Holiday Picture. Our usual photographer has agreed to meet us at the Park-and-Ride for a picture. Plan on having the picture at 6:35 am.

Then we will proceed with the traditional Fishers Run.

Turn left onto 96, right on Park Rd. Turn left on Corduroy, and then left on Woolston. Turn right on Fishers Rd, then left on Main St. Fishers. Turn left on Log Cabin, then right on Lower Fishers, and then left on Benson. Turn right on Fishers Rd, then return thru Powder Mills Park (left on Woolston, right on Corduroy, right on Park Rd) Turn left on 96 and back to the parking lot.

You can skip Lower Fishers by staying on Log Cabin. This shortens any route by 1 mile.

December 13, 2025 – Downtown Fairport and Mostly Moseley

Head out the canal towards Fairport. Exit the canal at Perinton Park – turn left on to O’Connor. Turn right on Whitney, and then right on N. Main St. The bridge over Thomas Creek is back open! Careful crossing over the railroad tracks. N. Main St changes names to S. Main St, and then changes again to Moseley. Take Moseley all the way to the end. Turn right on Rt. 96 and head back to the basin. Distance is 12.1 miles.

Turn right on Hedgewood, Take the nature trail on the left to Wren Field, turn left and pick up the nature trail over to Van Voorhees. Turn right on Van Voorhees, then left on East. Turn right onto Steele, cross over Turk Hill and then turn right on Neuchatel followed by a right on Vineyard Hill. Turn left on Garnsey, then right on 96 to return to the parking lot. 12.8 miles

Head out the canal path towards Fairport. Exit the canal left onto O’Connor. Turn left on Whitney. Whitney will turn into Five Mile Line Rd. Turn left on Rt. 441, then left into Linear Park. Cross over Irondequoit Creek and head up the hill. Turn left on Lincoln Mills, left on Linden then right on Bluff. Turn left into Eyer Park. Take the trail over to Midvale – turn left. Turn right on Baird, left into BOCES, then take the trail around the back. Turn right on O’Connor and then right on the canal and back to the basin. Distance is 13.5 miles.

For 11.8 miles, turn left on Linden from Whitney and then left on Bluff Dr., rejoining the main route

For 9.2 miles – on Whitney – turn left on Baird, then left into BOCES, rejoining the main route

For 7.5 miles – run the canal until you get to O’Connor, then turn around and retrace your steps back to the parking lot.

For 16 miles – follow the main route – when you return to the canal turn left and run over to Turk Hill. Turn around and follow the canal back to the basin.

November 8, 2025 – Cartersville Trail and Auburn Trail

All routes – Turn right out of the parking lot and run 96 towards Marsh Rd. Pick up the Cartersville trail on the right, between Marsh Road and the Marathon gas station, Stay on the trail until you are almost across from Knickerbocker. Cross over 96 and get on the Auburn Trail from the parking area.  Cross over Mill Rd, and then cross over Thornell to stay on the Auburn Trail – this will bring you to a driveway that leads to East St. Cross over East St and stay on the Auburn Trail, picking up the trail behind the power substation. Cross over Railroad Mills to stay on Auburn Trail

For 7.8 miles – turn left on Woolston, then left on Corduroy. Turn right on Park Rd, then left on 96 and return to the parking lot

Turn right out of the parking lot, turn right on Kreag Rd, then left on 31, take the ramp to the canal and follow the canal towards Pittsford. From here, run the traditional route to Powers – exit the canal at Schoen Place, turn right on N. Main St (96), then right on Washington followed by a right on Golf. A left into the parking lot of Powers just before Marsh Rd and you are there.
