Turn left out of the parking lot, and then turn right onto Fishers Rd. Turn right on Railroad Mills – then go straight to continue on Probst. At the tee with Mile Square turn left. Take Mile Suqare until it ends at Taylor. Turn left onto Taylor. Taylor ends at Strong – turn left on Strong. Turn right on 251, then left on Wangum. Turn left on Main St Fishers, then right on Fishers Rd. Take Fishers all the way back to 96, turn left on 96 and return to the parking lot.

February 15, 2025 – East Rochester/Penfield and Marsh Rd

Turn right out of the parking lot – then turn right on Kreag. Turn left on Ayrault, then right on Jefferson. Turn left on 31F, then right on Baird. Take Baird all the way up to 441 – then turn left on 441. Turn left on Five Mile Line Rd. Take a right on Linden and then a left on Bluff Drive. The road will change names to North Lincoln Rd, then South Lincoln Rd, and the Marsh Rd. Take Marsh Rd all the way back to the basin and return to the parking lot.

Head out to the canal – take the canal towards Pittsford. Take the old train bed trail on the right after crossing the bridge over to Mitchell – turn left and cross over the canal to Rt. 96. Turn left on 96, then right on Crestview. At the second intersection with Hilltop – turn left, and then left on S. Main St. Continue straight on Pittsford Mendon Center Rd. At a four way intersection continue going straight on Calkins Rd. Turn left on Clover, then left on Willard. Turn right on Mendon Rd., then left on Barker. Turn right on W. Bloomfield, then left on Thornell. Turn right on East, then left on Park Rd. Turn left on 96 and return to the parking lot. Distance is 12.2 miles.

January 25, 2025 – The Original Hearnish Freezeroo 10K with Fishers Run Finish

This weekend is the running of the Hearnish Freezeroo out in Victor. In honor of that event, we will run the original Hearnish 10K

Turn left out of the Park-n-Ride. Turn right onto Park Rd. Take Park Road all the way to East St. Turn left onto East St. East will change names to Mile Square. Turn left onto Probst. Turn left onto Miles Cutting, then a right onto Railroad Mills. At the intersection with Probst – turn left to continue on Railroad Mills. Go up the big hill. Turn left onto Fishers Rd, then take a left onto Woolston. Right onto Corduroy, right onto Park Rd and a left onto 96 brings you back to the Park-n-Ride. Distance is 8.7 miles.

For the Fishers Run Finish – when you get to the top of the hill on Railroad Mills – turn right on Fishers Rd and finish with a traditional Fishers Run. Turn left on Main St Fishers, left on Log Cabin, right on Lower Fishers, left on Benson, right on Fishers and return to Park-n-Ride through Powder Mills Park. This Distance is 12.6 miles.

Turn right out of the parking lot, get on the canal and head towards Fairport. Exit on to Ayrault and turn right to head east. Turn right on Mason. Cross over Rt 31 and head up Loud. At the tee-intersection with Blum, turn right , then continue straight at the intersection with Thayer. Turn right on Steele, cross over Turk and then take a right on Neuchatel, then a right on Vineyard Hill. Turn left on Garnsey, then right on 96 and back to the parking lot. Distance is 12.0 miles

Short Route – Turn left out of the parking lot. Turn right on Park Rd and follow to the end. Turn right on East, then left on Thornell. Turn left at the stop light – Pittsford Mendon Rd. Turn left on Van Voorhis. Turn left on East, then right on Thornell and return to the basin. Distance is 7.5 miles.

January 4, 2025 – Linear Park Run

Head out the canal path towards Fairport. Exit the canal left onto O’Connor. Turn left on Whitney. Whitney will turn into Five Mile Line Rd. Turn left on Rt. 441, then left into Linear Park. Cross over Irondequoit Creek and head up the hill. Turn left on Lincoln Mills, left on Linden then right on Bluff. Turn left into Eyer Park. Take the trail over to Midvale – turn left. Turn right on Baird, left into BOCES, then take the trail around the back. Turn right on O’Connor and then right on the canal and back to the basin. Distance is 13.5 miles.

For 11.8 miles, turn left on Linden from Whitney and then left on Bluff Dr., rejoining the main route

For 9.2 miles – on Whitney – turn left on Baird, then left into BOCES, rejoining the main trail

For 7.5 miles – run the canal until you get to O’Connor, then turn around and retrace your steps back to the parking lot.

For 16 miles – follow the main route – when you return to the canal turn left and run over to Turk Hill. Turn around and follow the canal back to the basin.

December 28, 2024 – Holiday Neighborhood Run

Do I have a special run for you! It is our tradition between Christmas and New Year’s Day, to have a run thru the neighborhoods. I have put together a route to hit some neighborhoods I have never run before. This year’s route will be mostly right hand turns with a couple of exceptions…

Way too many roads to name, but check out the map to see where I’m sending you.

Turn left out of the parking lot. The first right turn will be on Pine Hill Drive. At every intersection take the right option. Turn around at the end of cul-de-sacs.

Exceptions:

1) Do not turn onto Park Rd.

2) Do not turn into business lots.

3) Do not turn onto Woolston

4) When you come back up the hill from Whistlestop turn left on Fishers Rd.

5) Do not turn onto Benson.

6) When you get back to 96, turn left and return to the parking lot.

If you make it thru all the roads I have outlined in the map – the distance is 11.5 miles

December 21, 2024 – The Fishers Run

The traditional Fishers Run, from the parking lot is 9.5 miles – Turn left onto 96, right on Park Rd. Turn left on Corduroy, and then left on Woolston. Turn right on Fishers Rd, then left on Main St. Fishers. Turn left on Log Cabin, then right on Lower Fishers, and then left on Benson. Turn right on Fishers Rd, then return thru Powder Mills Park (left on Woolston, right on Corduroy, right on Park Rd) Turn left on 96 and back to the parking lot.

Note: You can skip the Lower Fishers option by staying on Log Cabin. This shortens any route by 1 mile.
