Turn right on Rowley – which will bring you back to Rt. 96. Turn right on 96, then turn left on Benson. Turn right on Fishers Rd, then a left on 96 and return to the parking lot

February 21 2026 – Main St Fishers and Mile Square

Two weeks ago it was too cold with a windchill. I am very proud of everyone that we all made the decision on our own not to risk it. But since no one was here to run the route – I am going to set it as this week’s route!

Turn left out of the parking lot and take 96 to right on Fishers Rd. Turn left onto Benson, and then turn right on Lower Fishers. Turn left on Log Cabin, then turn right on Main St. Fishers. Follow this to Mile Square and turn right. Mile Square will change names to East. Turn right on Park Rd, then left on 96 and back to the parking lot. Distance is 11.3 miles.

February 14, 2026 – East Rochester/Penfield and Marsh Rd

Forecast for Saturday currently calls for an overnight low of 17F. A heat wave!

Turn right out of the parking lot – then turn right on Kreag. Turn left on Ayrault, then right on Jefferson. Turn left on 31F, then right on Baird. Take Baird all the way up to 441 – then turn left on 441. Turn left on Five Mile Line Rd. Take a right on Linden and then a left on Bluff Drive. The road will change names to North Lincoln Rd, then South Lincoln Rd, and then Marsh Rd. Take Marsh Rd all the way back to the basin and return to the parking lot.

This weekend is the running of the Hearnish Freezeroo out in Victor. In honor of that event, we will run the original Hearnish 10K – which for a variety of reasons is no longer using this course (crosses county lines, crosses multiple towns and runs on a state highway – Fishers Rd is actually a state highway, surprise surprise) –

Turn left out of the Park-n-Ride. Turn right onto Park Rd. The official start/finish line was along here near the pavilion on the left. Take Park Road all the way to East St. Turn left onto East St. East will change names to Mile Square. Turn left onto Probst. Turn left onto Miles Cutting, then a right onto Railroad Mills. At the intersection with Probst – turn left to continue on Railroad Mills. Go up the big hill. Turn left onto Fishers Rd, then take a left onto Woolston. Right onto Corduroy. A left would take you to the finish line – instead turn right onto Park Rd and a left onto 96 brings you back to the Park-n-Ride. Our distance is 8.7 miles.

For the Fishers Run Finish – when you get to the top of the hill on Railroad Mills – turn right on Fishers Rd and finish with a traditional Fishers Run. Turn left on Main St Fishers, left on Log Cabin, right on Lower Fishers, left on Benson, right on Fishers and return to Park-n-Ride through Powder Mills Park. This Distance is 12.6 miles.

Short Route – Turn left out of the parking lot. Turn right on Park Rd and follow to the end. Turn right on East, then left on Thornell. Turn left at the stop light – Pittsford Mendon Rd. Looks like the snow has cleared – let’s get on the canal!

Head out the canal towards Pittsford. In the village, go past the railroad trestle and turn right into the Town Highway Department drive. Pick up the trail on the left that will connect over to the Auburn Trail. Cross over French and follow the trail until you are across the street from the Springhouse Commons. Cross over 31 and pick up the old Erie Canal Trail that runs behind Wegmans. Follow this back across French Rd and connect back with the Barge Canal, and follow the canal all the way back to the Basin. Distance is 11.6 miles.

For around 8 miles, on the Auburn Trail take the nature trail (Frog Pond Loop) option on the left shortly after you get on the Auburn Trail. The nature trail will take you back to the canal

December 27, 2025 – Holiday Neighborhood Run

Turn right out of the Park and Ride and run thru the basin, turn left on Thornell.

From this point on – take every left hand turn whenever there is an option to turn left.

When you reach a dead end, turn around and continue with taking only left hand turns.

When you meet someone faster than you coming back from a dead end, you can turn with them.

Eventually you will find yourself back at the Park and Ride. Here you can take a right to get back into the parking lot.
