Turn right out of the parking lot, then get on the canal and head towards Fairport. Turn right on Ayrault Rd.

For 13.8 with trails – turn right on the Perinton Bike Hike Way. Cross over Hogan, then turn left on Mason. Pick up the Orange marked trail on the right before crossing a small stream. Follow orange trail – cross over Broadmoor and continue on. Take a right that carries you between two small ponds. Take the right turns to continue on orange. Cross over Aldrich, and enter the parking lot for the White Brook Nature Center. Pick up the orange trail on the left side of the parking lot. Follow orange until you almost get to Ayrault, where a white trail will take you to the corner of Ayrault and Aldrich.  Follow Ayrault all the way back to the canal, and follow the canal back to the basin.

For 10.3 with no trails – on Ayrault, turn left onto the Perinton Bike Hike Way. Take this to the canal and follow the canal back to the basin.

For 12.6 with no trails – on Ayrault, turn left onto Lyndon, cross over the canal and take the pedestrian ramp to the canal. Follow the canal back to the basin.

For 15.4 miles with no trails – on Ayrault, turn right on Perinton Bike Hike Way. Follow this across Hogan, Mason and Rt.31 over to Egypt/Victor Rd at Lollypop Farms. Turn left, then a right on 31 followed by a left on Aldrich. Turn left onto Ayrault, then right on Lyndon. Cross over the canal and take the pedestrian ramp to the canal. Follow the canal back to the basin.

For trails only – after everyone else starts running, car pool over to the parking area at Ayrault and the Perinton Bike Hike Way. We will make it a loop by following the Hike way over to Mason, then pick up the Crescent Trail over to Broadmoor, the White Brook Nature Trails, then run along the south side of the canal all the way to the Perinton Bike Hike Way and back  to the cars.  8.3 miles or maybe more.

Turn left out of the parking lot. Turn left on Garnsey, then left on Turk Hill. Turn right into the parking lot for the Indian Hill section of the Crescent Trail. Take your favorite trail to the top, then take the trails over to SCR lane. Turn right on Steele. Cross over Turk Hill and head up Beaumont.  Turn right on Neuchatel, right on Vineyard Hill, then left on Garnsey.  A right on 96 returns you to the parking lot.  Distance is 9.5 (or so…..)

For 9.9 miles on roads – start with the trail route. Stay on 31 to Thayer – turn right. At Bluhm, turn right to continue on Thayer. Turn right on Steele. . Cross over Turk Hill and head up Beaumont.  Turn right on Neuchatel, right on Vineyard Hill, then left on Garnsey.  A right on 96 returns you to the parking lot.

For 12.9 miles on roads – follow the 9.9 mile route – at the Thayer-Steele-Baker intersection go straight on Baker. Turn right on Valentown, right on 96, then right on Turk Hill. Turn left on Beaumont, turn right on Neuchatel, right on Vineyard Hill, then left on Garnsey.  A right on 96 returns you to the parking lot.

September 20, 2014 – Seneca Trail in Victor

This week the main route will start in Victor!  Meet at the parking lot behind Mickey Finn’s in Victor.  From the basin – take 96 into Victor and turn right on Maple (Rt. 444).  Just before going up the hill as you are leaving the village, turn left onto Railroad St and park the car.

The route goes back out to Maple and onto Dryer.  The trail begins on the left – it is marked with Red markers.  This trail will take you thru the ground of Ganondagon, and will take you out to School Rd.  Turn left on School then a right on Boughton Hill Rd followed by a quick left into a driveway – look for trail markers.  Then continue to follow the red markers all the way to the Fairport Reservoir and to Boughton Rd.  Turn around and re-trace your steps back to the car – distance is around 12-13 miles.

There are other trail options – at School St, you can just cross over and continue over to Fort Hill and then continue to follow the trail over to the Dryer Rd Bike Trail park.

For those still wishing to run from the Basin – Fishers Run

For 9.5 miles – Turn left onto 96, right on Park Rd.  Turn left on Corduroy, and then left on Woolston.  Turn right on Fishers Rd, then left on Main St. Fishers.  Turn right on Lower Fishers, left on Benson.  Turn right on Fishers Rd, then return thru Powder Mills Park (left on Woolston, right on Corduroy, right on Park Rd)  Turn left on 96 and back to the parking lot.

For 12.6 miles – start with Fishers Run -– at Main St. Fishers, turn left, then right on Wangum Rd.  Turn right on 251, then right on Old Dutch.  Turn right on Main St Fishers, then left on Log Cabin, right on Lower Fishers, left on Benson, right on Fishers Rd, and return thru Powder Mill Park and to the parking lot on 96.

For 15 miles – start with the Fishers Run – at Main St. Fishers, turn left, then right on Wangum Rd.  Turn right on 251, then left on Strong.  Turn left on Dryer, then left on Willis Hill.  Turn left on 251 and right on Wangum.  Turn right on Main St Fishers, then left on Log Cabin, right on Lower Fishers, left on Benson, right on Fishers Rd, and return thru Powder Mill Park and to the parking lot on 96.

For 18.6 miles – start with the Fishers Run – at Main St. Fishers, turn left, then right on Wangum Rd.  Turn right on 251, then left on Strong.  Turn left on Dryer, then left on School St.  Turn left onto the Auburn Trail, and follow the Auburn Trail back to Powder Mills Park.  Take Railroad Mills to Park Rd, turn left, then take a right on East St.  Turn right on Thornell, right on 96 and return to the parking lot.

From the parking lot, turn left, then turn right on Park Rd. Take Park Rd over to East, turn right, then left on Thornell. Take Thornell to the end, turn left on West Bloomfield.

For 9.7 miles – turn left on Canfield, left on Pittsford Mendon Rd, right on Van Voorhis. Turn left on East, then right on Park Rd. Left on 96 bring you back to the parking lot.

For 12.6 miles – turn left on Smith, left on Mile Square, then right on Probst. Turn left on Railroad Mills, right on Woolston, left on Corduroy, then right on Park Rd. . Left on 96 bring you back to the parking lot.

For 15.5 miles – stay on W. Bloomfield and go past Rt 251.  Turn left onto the Lehigh Trail. Follow this over to Mile Square. Turn left on Mile Square, then right on Probst. Turn left on Railroad Mills, right on Woolston, left on Corduroy, then right on Park Rd. . Left on 96 bring you back to the parking lot.
